More students' reflections

 It was a very good idea to let students to teach to other students about other languages. Personally, I was very impressed about learning German and Thai, but I was also happy for teaching French. It was funny to teach to my classmates. I hope we do it again!

It was a very different and interesting lesson. We learned German, French and Thai. I taught French but the most difficult I found Thai.  It was the first time to hear it. I hope one day we do it again and learn more languages like Chinese and Japanese….

What we did on the 26th September was really amazing and felt like magic! It was a really interesting and learning experience. Not only did we learn about how to say some simple commonly used phrases, but we tried to write them as well. Some languages which weren’t inspired by Latin (like Thai) were really hard to speak and write.

It was fantastic experience because you learn a lot of new things about other languages .The most difficult language that I learn the last lesson it was Thai.

 I had a great time learning new languages. We learned different languages so we can communicate with people from other countries. I liked the fact that our teachers were our classmates. What I found difficult was the pronunciation.

On the European day of languages we learnt different  languages (French ,German ,Thai) and it was an amazing experience. At first, it was a little challenging to learn how to pronounce the words, especially in Thai. It was a great experience to get to know so many different languages in one day.

The most difficult language was Thai. It was a great way to work with my classmates and we came closer, it was an overall learning experience. I would like to learn more about German.

Languages connect people from all over the world! I was really impressed when our teacher told us that we would have the chance to teach and learn foreign languages. I felt really happy and lucky not only because I had the chance to be a French teacher for a while but also because I’ve learned some basic greetings in other languages. We were taught German, French and Thai. What I found more difficult was the pronunciation of Thai. It is like Chinese to me! t was an unforgettable experience which makes me realize that even though we differ from others, there is something that connects us - Languages!

On the EU day of languages, I had the chance of teaching my classmates the native language of my mother, Thai. It was difficult in the beginning trying to recall a language I haven´t spoken in a long time. I found it more difficult than learning all the new languages I learned in the meantime but it´s mainly due to the fact Thai is not a Latin originated language and so it´s difficult to even recall the basics of it even though I was learning it from a young age. In the end I sort of caught up to my old level of Thai speaking but I´m still nowhere near to even being a novice Thai speaker but it did the job on allowing me to teach my classmates some basic phrases of the language. It was a pleasant experience, when I finally finished my lesson, I was surprised by the fact that I actually made it!! We Teach each other foreign languages

Students teach each other greetings and the basics to communicate with each other in various foreign languages they know.    This action focuses on students' knowledge and awareness of Foreign languages taking advantage of their Foreign language capacity by teaching their peers.   In this way, we promote the concept of plurilingualism which is a priority of the Council of Europe.  Students will share their teaching and learning experience.  Feel free to leave your comments.
